Terms of Service

Rubric is a software service. You describe a business idea, and Rubric automatically recommends a set of software tools for it, chosen only from our list of Rubric Approved tools, with an estimate of what those tools cost each month. You can swap tools, change plans and copy a setup prompt for an AI assistant.

Recommendations are generated automatically by software, including AI models. No person reviews your individual request, and we do not provide consulting, custom work or one-to-one services.

Rubric recommends software tools only. It is not business, legal, tax, accounting, financial or investment advice, and it does not predict revenue, profit or results. You are responsible for your own decisions and for checking that a tool fits your needs.

Tool prices come from each tool’s official pricing page and are shown as starting prices. Prices, features and terms of third-party tools change, so always confirm them with the tool provider before you buy.

You sign in with a Google account. You must be at least 16 years old and able to form a binding contract. Keep your Google account secure; you are responsible for activity on your Rubric account.

One person may hold one free account. Creating extra accounts to collect free search credits is not allowed.

Each stack you request uses search credits based on its size: Lean 5, Standard 10 and Complete 25. You always see the cost before you request a stack. Requests that are declined, fail or return no tools do not use credits.

New accounts receive 5 free search credits once, which can be used for Lean stacks. The Pro plan ($9.99 per month) includes 500 search credits each billing month and the Max plan ($19.99 per month) includes 1,500. Standard and Complete stacks require a paid plan.

Monthly credits reset at the start of each billing period and do not roll over. Credits have no cash value and cannot be transferred or exchanged.

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller and Merchant of Record, Dodo Payments. Dodo Payments processes payments, handles sales tax and VAT, and provides customer service for billing questions and refunds. Your purchase is also subject to Dodo Payments’ buyer terms, which you accept at checkout.

Paid plans are monthly subscriptions that renew automatically until you cancel. Prices are shown in US dollars and may exclude taxes, which are added at checkout where required. You can cancel at any time from your account or by contacting us; you keep access until the end of the period you have paid for.

If we change a plan’s price, we will tell you by email at least 14 days before the change applies to your next renewal.

Refunds are covered by our Refund Policy.

You agree not to:

• request stacks for ideas we do not support, listed on our Standards page (for example gambling, adult content, financial services, crypto or health products);
• use the Service for anything illegal, harmful or deceptive;
• scrape, copy or resell the Service, its recommendations or the Rubric Approved list;
• use bots or scripts to make requests, or try to get around credit limits or security measures;
• interfere with the Service or attempt to access other users’ data.

We may suspend or close accounts that break these rules.

The tools Rubric recommends are made by other companies. We are not affiliated with them, we do not receive payment or commissions from them, and we are not responsible for their products, prices or terms. Your use of any third-party tool is between you and that provider. Product names and logos belong to their owners and are used only to identify the tools.

You keep ownership of the ideas you enter. You give us permission to process them to provide the Service, as described in our Privacy Policy. You may use the stacks and setup prompts Rubric generates for you for any lawful purpose.

The Service, its design, software, the Rubric Approved list and our brand belong to us. These terms do not give you any rights to them beyond using the Service.

We work to keep the Service available but do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may change, add or remove features. If we discontinue a paid plan, we will give reasonable notice and refund any unused prepaid period.

The Service is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, including that recommendations are accurate, complete or suitable for your purpose.

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits or lost data, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that cannot be excluded.

You can stop using the Service and ask us to delete your account at any time by emailing help.rubric@gmail.com. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms. Unused search credits end when an account is closed.

We may update these terms. If a change is significant, we will notify you by email or in the app before it takes effect. These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, without affecting the mandatory consumer protections of the country where you live.
